Hypothalamic Hamartoma - Gelastic Seizures- Kanav Yadav
Hello Everyone,
First of all sorry for my Bad English grammatical errors..
After i research lots about Hamartoma Epilepsy News and Information i have just created this blog and hope this blog little bit help to me.
My Son ( Name : Kanav ) suffer from Hypothalamic Hamartoma.
Short Story :
My son completed 4 month we notice symptoms of Infantile spasms ( Through internet ) , We immediately reach SIR Ganga Ram Hospital, Pediatric Neurology Doctor he given good treatment for infantile spasms, and my son seizures free after 3 days from Medicine.
But after 1 month another type of Epilepsy comes in my son called Gelastic Seizures ( He continue launching 8 Hours without break )
but SGRH Doctor Really don't know what kind of problem with my SON, Also i shown his proper Episode video. after 1 month we really frustrate from Gelastic seizure and Doctor ( We also don't know what happen with my SON ) , Finally we go AIIMS Neurology OPD, Senior Resident ( Sr. Neurology Doctor ) see my episode Video and tell us this is Gelastic Seizure.
Gelastic Seizure is Launching seizures.
Doctor start medicine ( on March 2012 ) for stop Gleastic seizure, medicine really work for starting one month. My son seizure free for one month but after one month gelastic seizures comes again.
Now ( on 22th October 2013 ) 4-5 gelastic seizures comes in everyday (10 seconds to 3 Min every episode) and also develop another EYE Blinking seizures. at present medicine given daily basis
Hospital :At present in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) hospital.
Consultant : Dr Manjari Tripathi, Additional professor, Department of neurology
If you know that person which suffer from Gelastic Seizures ( Hypothalamic Hamartoma ) and Successful surgery of Hamartoma then please share with us.

- Epilex - 7 ml - 2 times in day
- Levera Solution - 5 ml - 2 times in day
- Lozam - 15 Mg in a day
- Zonisamide - 25 Mpg -2 times in day
